It’s been a fun month of Andrometron development. We delivered 3 more computers in the lovely shades of translucent pink, metallic green, and bright yellow. (A huge thank you to you three!)

This brings our total to a magnificent six devices out there in the world. We also sent our first Andrometron in the mail in our brand new custom shipping box! The box has a second life as a coloring book (coloring box?) once it’s served its noble shipping purpose. I hope to include a few crayons in every box.

Preparing for ship-worthiness was a long, delicate, and highly technical process. You can see the entirety of our many arduous testing sessions here:

Button Mashing
On the software side of things, we’ve been fortifying the Andrometrons to be able to withstand even the most extreme button mashing and keyboard smashing. We’ve pushed a new command-line interface home screen that looks almost identical to the old one, but won’t get confused when your child presses a single quote, and you won’t have to learn about the types of weird computers where control-c doesn’t copy. Also, no more getting tripped up by caps lock.

More Andrometrons
There will be two Andrometrons up for auction at a preschool Gala Auction next month. If you’re not attending it, or don’t want to wait to get one, you can check out the available colors here: View Colors
We can still make Andrometrons from the out of stock colors, it’ll just take longer.
Next Time
Stay tuned for next month’s update to find out if our brave Andrometron survived its trip via UPS, and if the going rate of an Andrometron at a fundraising gala is > $0!
